The Self-Knowledge and Interpersonal Perception (SKIP) Laboratory explores whether people know what they and others are like. Do people know how smart they are? Do they know their reputation? Can people accurately judge others' moral character? We also explore the consequences of bright spots and blind spots in accurate perceptions. Is it adaptive to know how smart we are? Should we try to learn what other people really think about us? If so, how can we improve this knowledge?
